Meet Shala

I’m Shala — a certified life coach, author of books, poet, creator of UglyFlower, former teacher, and behavioral health provider dedicated to helping people heal, grow, and reclaim the parts of themselves they thought were lost. My work is rooted in compassion, clarity, and the belief that every person deserves a safe space to be seen, heard, and supported.

Who i help

My coaching is for people who are ready to heal, grow, and reconnect with the strongest version of themselves — even if they don’t feel strong yet. I support individuals who are navigating emotional pain, relationship wounds, identity shifts, or major life transitions and want a safe, non‑judgmental space to explore their inner world.

I work especially well with people who:

  • Feel stuck in old patterns and want to break free
  • Struggle with boundaries, self‑trust, or people‑pleasing
  • Are healing from trauma, heartbreak, or family dysfunction
  • Want to rebuild confidence and reconnect with their identity
  • Are tired of carrying everything alone and want real support
  • Are ready to grow, but need guidance, structure, and compassion
  • Value honesty, emotional safety, and accountability

What to remember about me

That I helped them come home to themselves.

Not by fixing them.

Not by telling them who to be.

But by creating a space where they felt safe enough to feel, brave enough to grow, and worthy enough to choose themselves again.

If someone walks away from my work remembering that they were seen, heard, and honored — that their story mattered — then I’ve done what I came here to do.

My unique approach

My coaching is different because it’s not about forcing change it’s about creating the conditions where healing and growth feel possible. I blend clinical insight, lived experience, and creative expression to help people reconnect with themselves in a way that feels safe, empowering, and sustainable.

What makes my approach unique is the way I combine:

  • 🌿 Trauma‑informed care
  • 💛 Strengths‑based support
  • 🌍 Culturally responsive practice
  • 🖋️ Creative tools for emotional healing
  • 🎓 Clinical and educational background
  • 🤝 A safe, non‑judgmental space

"You have walked through storms that tried to silence you, yet here you stand — rising anyway. Your strength is not loud, but it is unbreakable. Your story is not perfect, but it is worthy. And every step you take toward healing is a declaration that you were never meant to stay small."

Lift your head.

Straighten your spine.

There is a light in you that the world did not give,

and the world cannot take away.
